From media reports: Bloomberg News reported railway workers in France are planning a 24-hour strike on Wednesday, to protest the reorganization of state-owned Societe Nationale des Chemins de Fer Francais' freight business.
A spokesperson for SNCF, France's national railway, said in a statement that the strike called by members of the CGT, UNSA, CFDT, and Sud-Rail labor unions could affect two out of three high-speed trains and commuter trains, as well as half the regional and Paris trains.
SNCF said Eurostar trains to and from the U.K., Thalys trains to Belgium, Germany, and Netherlands, and routes to Italy and Spain will not be disrupted.
